Akshar communications- started in 1989 by director and producer duo- Sandeep Patel and Aarti Patel has been always trying to make programmes which are sensible as well as successful. The companys first project was for DDK-Ahd Goras based on true stories by Girish Ganatra from Janmabhumi Daily. When serials were sanctioned for 13 episodes only the same was approved for 39 episodes & got the award Best Serial Of 1990by well-known Daily Gujarat Samachar. Then came Mare Pan Ek Ghar Hoi a story by Varsha Adalja based on the psychology of the women. Dhamachakdi was a farcical comedy; Mohran Pachhal Chehra was a serial performed only by two characters & was based on Nine Rasa of Bharat Natya Shastra where Ochhayo was a crime thriller. Kahe chhe Paiso Maro Parmeshwar was again a social comedy which broke all the records of Ahd DDKs commercial fictions. For 104 episodes it proved its strength. It got the excellent response from viewers as well as sponsors. Kori Aankhon Ne Sunan Haiyan based on old peoples home got over whelming responses from viewers where as Katha Darpan based on short stories has completed its run successfully on Ahd DDK. List is so long. Akshar communications has made prestigious short film Sarvodaya on rehabilitation project for Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd which was previewed at Rio-De-Janero Brazil in earth summit. The company is regularly making programmes for DECU-ISRO on subjects like child education health adult education watershed etc The company is empanelled in DECU- ISRO Information Department of Gujarat Rural Development Delhi DAVP Delhi etc. to make programmes for them. The company has made commission programmes for PRASARBHARTI on life of great reformer Ravishankar Maharaj Mansai Na Diva well-known educationalist Gijubhai Badheka; Nanabhai Bhatt etc Missionaries Of Child Education. Company has made very good documentation on folk music by doing programmes Folk Music Of Gujarat Also did stories by Maria Mitsca Giras man ek dungari and children stories Miyan Fuski by Jivram Joshi. Company has solely produced Guj. Feature Film Moti Na Chawk Re Sapnaman Deetha in Aug. 1999 which got The Best Film Of 1999 award by Govt. Of Gujarat. It also got the award for Best Story. The film got another six awards given by SOI Entertainers & it included best director best editor best performer best lyrics best music & best dance director In 2005 company has produced another Gujarati Feature film Gago Kedadano Painu Painu Kaarto To that got 4 state awards that includes best story best performance best supporting performance & best lyrics. The daily on Zee Gujarati Sagpan Ek Ukhanuin 2009 has achieved new heights. Recently Akshar has started academy to prepare new talents in acting anchoring and news reading.
