Lt. Shree Prabhudas Shankardas Patel came to Ahmedabad in the year 1948. He joined his first job at Mr. R. M. Shah for INR 80 per month while struggling to get settled. From the year 1950 he tightened his belts and started on his own in tea business. Ayoung fella from district Saabarkantha Town Prantij with high values determination to succeed and quality deliverance was set to serve the best quality tea to the people of Gujarat. As a start up he began to deliver the wholesale tea on his bicycle. Travelling to other towns in truck and state transport facility he used to encourage other business people to enter tea business. In the year 1956 he started Patel Tea Depot at Kalupur junction Ahmedabad and which proved to be a milestone for their great success in the tea business.
