Dahej SEZ Ltd (DSL) is a company registered under the Companies Act 1956 and is promoted jointly by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for development of Special Economic Zone (SEZ). DSL is developing a multi-product SEZ at Dahej in Vagra Taluka of Bharuch district in Gujarat India. Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) was established under the GID Act 1962 with an objective of providing industries in the state of Gujarat India. Its main role is to identify locations suitable for industrial development and develop industrial estates with infrastructure such as roads drainage electricity water supply street lights and ready-to-occupy sheds. All across the state GIDC has planned for 252 Industrial Estates of which 182 are developed and functional. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is an Indian public sector petroleum company Established on August 14 1956. ONGC has developed oil exploration facilities both onshore and offshore and has emerged as one of the Nav-Ratna - Public Sector Unit (PSU). ONGC contributes 77% of India's crude oil production and 81% of India's natural gas production. ONGC posted a net profit of 167.68 billion and having net worth of ` 781 billion in financial year 2009-10.
