Equinox was founded in 2004 by Naishadh Parikh who then had more than 25 years of rich experience in diverse industrial sectors. The business was initiated with operations in the field of refrigeration with a vision to provide custom and value based solutions through world class technology products. Before Equinox Mr. Parikh successfully founded Amtrex Hitachi Appliances Ltd. in 1984 has been the Chairman of CII Gujarat State for the year 1992-94 and mentor for the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Manufacturers Association of India (RAMA). Mr. Parikh is presently on the Board of Governors and the Board of Management at Ahmedabad University. In 2010 Equinox diversified its business to include Commercial Kitchen and Laundry Contracting services on turnkey basis to the Food Service and Hospitality industries. Today the company is comprised of two segments EPC Services and Food & Beverage Solutions.
