Civil Hospital has a grand heritage and vast history spanning over 160 years of its service to the patients since its inception in 1841 at the Collector's Office Ghee Kanta. In 1858 an expansion with the contribution of Sheth Shri Hathising & Premabhai brought about the creation of Old Civil Hospital. Further expansion to meet the increasing healthcare demands led to the shifting of the premises to Asarwa and on 2nd Nov 1953 the New Civil Hospital came into being.
