Rebecca was interested in fashion and design since she was 10 years old she always wanted to learn the art of cutting a garment and so she would always watch and grasp things accordingly from experienced people. T he rich art and different cultures moved her to do something artistic as we know to - day India is the heartthrob of the Fashion world and most of the embroideries come from GUJARAT. She first started learning TEXTILE DESIGNING under Prof. Khalid from National Institute of Design. Rebecca did a course at NIFT on pattern Making & Construction of Indian Garments in ' 98. She also did her Textile Printing at NID using stencils & Screens in various techniques of printing.She held her first Solo fashion show at Allure and first solo fashion illustration show at the CEPT CAMPUS -AHMEDABAD. S he felt a need to study the technical part of fashion so she learnt the art of pattern cutting drafting and draping etc. at \London Center for Fashion\ Islington - London. There she proved well .Simultaneously she worked with designer Samantha Shaw and she learnt how to start up her own business independently under her own label. Later she secured a job at \The Design Portfolio\ - on Oxford Street - London as a designer and designed wedding gowns for the White Rose Collection. There she worked for ZANDRA RHODES (LONDON'S FAMOUS DESIGNER ) and EUGENE FINISCKI from America which involved taking the designs to vogue for photo shoots as well. P resently she retails ' Made to Order ' garments from her studio and supplies garments to boutiques all over India & abroad.
