Ahmedabad Gymkhana has withstood the test of time in all its grandeur. The ancient architecture best narrates the events of yesteryears. During the days of the Britishers the club had regular gala dances on wooden floorings with European cuisine of smoked fish steak & truffle to name a few. Till the year 1946 no Indian was allowed to become a member of the Ahmedabad Gymkhana. After the Britishers quit India and the National Movement was in force it was then President and Manager of Ahmedabad Electricity Company Mr. K.L.Paulin who welcomed civilians.
