As per the latest TDS norms Income Tax Department has made it mandatory (w.e.f. June 1 2003) for corporate assesees to furnish their TDS return in electronic form (e-TDS return). Income Tax Department has notified an "Electronic Filling of Returns of Tax Deducted at Source Scheme 2003" and has given details of furnishing e-TDS returns. Assesees furnishing their TDS return in electronic form shall prepare the same as per the electronic data structure (file format) prescribed by ITD.
